Originally from Eden Prairie, Georgie attended the International School of Minnesota, where she founded and developed multiple community service and leadership efforts. Due to her commitment to service and leadership at a young age, Georgie received numerous awards from the President Bush and President Obama Administrations. This led to an eventual interest in working directly with those in need.

Georgie then attended Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where she graduated in three years with honors and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with minors in Psychology and Environmental Studies. While at Lehigh University, Georgie worked as a representative for a Non-Profit Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations in New York. Georgie also began interning at various family law practices in Pennsylvania, where she discovered her passion for helping families through difficult and complex situations.

Georgie was accepted into the University of St. Thomas School of Law on a Presidential Scholarship and as a Stinson Leonard Street Diversity Scholar in 2017. During her first semester of law school, Georgie was given the opportunity to be the Divorce Camp intern and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts intern. On weekends, Georgie spent time volunteering as a WATCH Court Monitor, a program for combating human-sex trafficking, and as a Street Law Volunteer advising low-income and charter students about their legal rights.

Throughout law school, Georgie worked as a law clerk in family law; wills, trusts, and estates; criminal law; personal injury; real estate law; and municipal prosecution. Georgie became a Student Certified Attorney and took on two of her own pro-bono clients through the Volunteer Lawyer’s Network. Her first pro-bono case took her to the Court of Appeals, where she successfully upheld an Order for Protection. She then gained experience in a full dissolution trial as well as experience settling cases through mediation.

Georgie was hired as a law clerk at Heimerl & Lammers in January 2020. Today, Georgie is a practicing attorney in our family law group. She hopes to build a diverse and well-regarded practice in family law and has a strong commitment to client trust and satisfaction, protecting children, and resolving conflict in a way that minimizes stress and anxiety for everyone involved.
