Katie Lammers has represented hundreds of clients in civil litigation cases in Minnesota, the vast majority of which have been in family law matters. She has experience in virtually every aspect of the litigation process including appeals, jury trials, bench trials, summary judgment hearings, motion practice and ADR, including Early Neutral Evaluations.

Katie is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is also a Board Certified Family Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She is a rule 114 qualified neutral and a qualified family law mediator. She is certified as a SENE and FENE provider. She has served on the Minneapolis Civil Rights Commission and is a volunteer for Tubman. She also serves as a Ramsey County and Hennepin County volunteer mediator. She is also a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Hennepin County Bar Association, is on the Family Law Council as the publications co-chair with Minnesota Bar Association, and Douglas K Amdahl Inn of Court and is a former member of the Minnesota Association for Justice. She serves as a mentor attorney for the University of St. Thomas mentor program. She has presented various CLEs at the Hennepin County Bar Association on the topics of bankruptcy, divorce and discovery issues, motion hearings and parenting plans. She has authored articles on School Choice in Minnesota and Third Party Custody matters. 

Katie is on the bench and bar committee at the Hennepin County Bar Association working to bring the members of the bench in contact with members of the bar through education. She also serves as a volunteer investigator on the 4th Judicial District Ethics Committee.  

Katie uses her leadership and interpersonal skills to handle a full range of family law concerns from custody and parenting time to the division of complex assets. She believes that the practice of family law should be civil and treats all parties with respect even in the most acrimonious of disputes. She has received compliments from clients, the Court and opposing attorneys as to her professionalism and competency in handling family law cases. Katie’s clients have described her as “knowledgeable”, “excellent”, and an “attorney who truly cares.” Her clients have lauded her for being calm and collected in court, and tough on the opposition.
